My content strategy work was born out of my background as a writer and editor. I am in every sense a storyteller but I’m unique in that closely utilize data as a core function of all of my work.
Recently, I branched out from my extensive media experience to work in FinTech at Broadridge Financial Solutions in Data Operations. This was an extraordinary experience where I picked up data mapping and ETL product development skills.
I also took it upon myself to earn my Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
Prior to this, I consulted as a content strategist/editorial director at Matador Networks—an outdoor-focused travel media company. I was able to streamline content production processes and grow conversion rates through a diversified distribution framework that heavily incorporated social media integration and SEO best practices.
Much of the skills I bring to my consulting work were developed at Viacom (now known as Paramount) and Complex.
When I was presented with the opportunity to work at Viacom, I was ecstatic to add to my skill set in linear television. I started by managing the day-to-day of the celebrity-focused blog and grew to orchestrate digital coverage of live events, executive produce digital video, and manage large-scale cross-functional digital marketing projects to promote television and branded initiatives.
I earned a Webby Award for All Jokes Aside: Black Women in Comedy and was instrumental in record-breaking growth for VH1.
I arrived at Complex Media Network during a critical time in digital media’s evolution. At Complex, I managed creative and operational processes for the print magazine, flagship site, and branded content sites—forecasting budgets, crafting processes, managing resources, and streamlining reporting. I also interviewed celebrities, wrote essays, top-edited cover stories, and spearheaded innovative digital products.
Something to know about me (that can’t be found on my resume) is that I’m highly entrepreneurial. During my time at Complex, I started a nail art company called Hail Nails. It was a solo venture where I created a line of nail polish—learning the ins and outs of manufacturing, design packaging, digital marketing, and e-commerce. Although the company dissolved, I am incredibly proud of this experience.
If you’re interested, my hobbies include reading (and writing) fiction, working out, hiking, and testing out delicious gluten-free recipes. Oh, and I’m a cat person who also loves dogs.

I’m always looking to tell brilliant stories.
